Listening to Rain

I challenged myself to write something other than free verse. This is an echo poem, where you echo the last word or syllable by putting one rhyming word on the next line.

I didn't know what to write about so I listened to the rain hoping to be inspired and nearly fell asleep, and then was inspired.
